NARRATING BUDGET & STORIES
By basing our budget stories in our mission and ministry your parish membership will be passionate about the outcomes – not the inputs. You’ll learn how to build narrative budgets and link the important stories of your parish with amazing impact.
We begin with the basics - what are narrative budgets? We'll stop focussing on inputs and start focussing on outputs.
How do you construct a narrative budget, based on your mission and ministry plan?
Then we'll look at the sacred stories that support and describe the outcomes your mission and ministry plan imagine. How are they tied to the narrative budget?
Our goal in this seminar is to equip your parish leadership and the stewardship team with the resources to create narrative budgets and communicate the outcome you hope for as a parish effectively. With this knowledge you'll be able to prepare your new narrative budget and stewardship messaging for 2014 and beyond.
Speakers for this event are Glen Mitchell (narrative budget development) and Randy Murray (sacred stories). Randy is the Diocesan Communications Officer and Glen is the diocesan stewardship and gift planning director.
