SIGNIFICANCE OF ‘REACH YOUR SUMMIT’ THEME

Teen attendees of the 2013 Youth Summit and members of the ATI-Kent County Youth Coalition selected ‘Reach Your Summit’ as the theme for the 2014 KCPC Above the Influence-Kent County campaign.  ‘Reach Your Summit’ is an anthem of victory designed to inspire teens to: [1] Overcome life obstacles, [2] Strive for excellence, [3] Build the character/stamina needed to achieve one’s dreams, [4] Make the connection between the role education plays in reaching one's summit, and [5] Walk free from stigma, shame, and  past mistakes.  This year’s theme speaks to the Summit’s goal of empowering every attendee to victorious living via high-octane, innovative, and skill-building ATI-Kent County activities, workshops, and peer-to-peer messaging.
