Utilizing Social Media to Enhance Your Message and Create New Relationships

A special enrichment webinar focusing on communications and outreach strategies will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2014, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm PST. Geared for Community Stories grant applicants and grant holders, the session aims to help you identify your core audience and formulate an effective marketing strategy using grassroots marketing, traditional media, and new technologies. The webinar will be led by Patric Stillman, an experienced San Diego-based nonprofit leader and digital media producer who has conducted technology trainings and consulted with libraries, museums, and nonprofit organizations throughout the state. Patric is also a former Community Stories project director.

Register HERE for this informational webinar. You may also be interested in attending our Community Stories grant applicant webinar on January 9, which will provide information about the February 2014 deadline to potential applicants. Applications for Community Stories will be accepted starting January 15 for the February 18, 2014 deadline of this ongoing competitive grants program.

Community Stories supports public humanities projects that explore the California experience through story-based performances, panels, websites, video, radio, and exhibits. Since 2003, we have made over 400 awards to community-based nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, schools, libraries, and state and local government agencies. For complete program information, including current guidelines, application materials and instructions, and descriptions of funded projects, click HERE.
