Sigmund Penn is a SCORE mentor who offers clients the value of his experience in the food Industry. He created and owned three restaurant chains in Houston as well as a national ice cream franchise, the Mable Slab Creamery (Cold Stone concept).
Victor Tongco has been in the restaurant industry for over 36 years, starting as a production employee at Jack-in-the-Box and eventually working in Operations, Marketing Research & Development, and as a Training Supervisor. He was also a restaurant manager for a multi-unit Burger King franchisee. In 1990, Victor became a Boll Weevil restaurant franchisee, purchasing an existing restaurant and then building two others with business partners. He is experienced in all phases of the restaurant industry, including concept, design, menu development and design, construction and design of the total restaurant project, including kitchen, dining room, décor, working with plan check, architects, contractors and government agencies.
