Join Baker Bill Reichman from the Cooking Skills Academy, located just outside of the culinary mecca of Chicago, for a fun and information packed 3-hour class on baking Artisan Breads and New York Style Bagels. In this introductory course he’ll demonstrate that you can start baking bread before you understand all of the science behind it, and that indeed cooking is an art, but baking is a science. We’ll learn the steps to follow for successful bread baking and basic bread baking skills. And, then we’ll get around to the actual science involved in bread baking - what really is going on inside that dough?! And, you’ll leave class feeling comfortable working with yeasts. We’ll make: 5-Seeds Lavash Cracker, Pain A L'ancienne (Rustic Bread) and Bagels. Please bring an appetite to learn as well as for every delicious thing we make & bake.
