Hosokawa Spring Expo 2014

Interactive Demonstration on Size Reduction, Particle Processing, Feeding & Analysis

Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems will host a free in-house seminar on Laboratory Size Reduction, Particle Processing & Material Analysis on Wednesday, April 2 & Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Summit, New Jersey. This one day event is being offered twice for scheduling flexibility.  This event will include demonstrations and seminars on milling and processing equipment from Hosokawa, low rate micro-ingredient feeders from Coperion K-Tron & laser diffraction from Beckman Coulter.

What equipment will be demonstrated?

  • Hosokawa Alpine Picoline – The Picoline is laboratory system capable of preforming 9 different processes including impact and jet milling, wet media milling, classification, mixing & particle modification on samples as small as 5 gram.
  • NEW Mikro Air Jet Sieve MAJSxThe New MAJSx is a highly accurate particle size analyzer designed for determining the particle size distribution of powder ranging from 20 m to 4,750 m.
  • K-Tron Feeder - Microfeeders can attain the lowest rates for high accuracy micro-ingredient feeding while compact feeders offer a low rate solution that fits easily in limited spaces, laboratories & pilot lines.
  • Beckman Coulter’s LS 13 320 uses Laser Diffraction to measure unknown dry, aqueous and non-aqueous samples without requiring the analyst to guess the type of distribution mode to preprogram the instrument by incorporating Beckman Coulter’s Polarization Intensity Differential Scattering (PIDS) technology covering a size range from 0.017 m to 2,000 m.

Who should attend?

  • Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Cosmetic & Mineral process engineers & equipment operators
  • Engineers interested in impact or jet mills, particle surface modifies, mixers, particle size analyzers or laboratory feeders theory & operation
  • Anyone who would like the opportunity to meet with technical representatives from Hosokawa,  Coperion K-Tron or Beckman Coulter

Why should I participate?

  • Free interactive demonstrations & educational seminars
  • Learn about new technologies & techniques for miniature scale processing and analysis
  • Lunch is on us – we provide delicious catering!
  • Complimentary - there is no charge to attend this informative & educational event
