ROCK YOUR CAMO FOR WOMEN VETERANS 5K
To commemorate Women Veteran's Month in Texas the Texas Women Veteran's Initiative is hosting a 5K! Bring your co-workers, friends, or family to run/walk the course.
One thing is for certain, you must ROCK THAT CAMO! How? Paint your face or put on your favorite camo, you decide! There will be prizes for the best dressed participant, best dressed kids, and largest organization/company group participating.
Food and entertainment will be waiting for you once you cross the finish line and the Girl Scouts will be there to help us and donate cookies to our troops.
Fun for the Kids! Bouncy houses, facepainting, food and more!
Registration fees will be used to fund the run and anything left will be donated to our non-profit sponsors!
Where: Camp Mabry, Austin (Open base and parking)
Please note: A photo I.D. will be required for entry into Camp Mabry. Children may accompany an adult with an I.D. Parking is available.
When: 8 March 2014
Prizes will be awarded to the following groups:
(To be eligible all entries must be participating in the run/walk)
Group 1: Best dressed Camo participant
Group 2: Best dressed kids ages 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12
Group 3: Largest Camo dressed/painted organization/company participating group.
Race Waiver:
I assume all risks from participating in this event and its related activities including but not limited to: falls; contact or collissions with other participants; effects of the weather, including high heat, humidity precipitation, traffic and the conditions of the road; such as all risks being known and appreciated by me. I agree to monitor my health while participating in the event, and will withdraw myself and immediately seek medical treatment if I begin to feel dizzy or otherwise unable to continue. Having read this waiverand release and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry fee and participation, I and anyone entitled to act on my behalf including my successors, assigns, heirs, hereby waive and release Texas Veterans Commission and all related partners, sponsors volunteers, respective affiliates, subsidiaries, principles, directors, agents, officers, employees or contrators from all claims liabilities or causes of action of any kind arising out of my participation in this event or its related activities which I may ever have now or in the future against any of the parties. The release and waiver extends to all claims of everykind whatsoever. By regestering for this event, I also acknowledge that my image or photograph may be used by the Texas Veterans Commission or its partners in connection with this event. I hereby give consent to use my image for any purpose related to the event without expectation of reimbursement for its use.
I have read this waiver and understand its contents. I affirm that I am 18 years of age or older and voluntarily execute this release.
Registration of Minors (18 and below). By completing registration, parents or guardians are accepting the race waiver on behalf of participating minors.
