Farmland Access Information Night

Join us on February 4, 2014 for a Farmland Access Information Night in Greenfield, MA as we bring landowners, farmers, and service providers together to discuss how farmers get on to, hold, and transfer farmland in the Valley.

If you are interested in buying or leasing farmland, considering selling or leasing land to a farmer, thinking about passing your farm to the next generation, or a supporter of local agriculture, this gathering is for you. Learn about:

  • Finding and evaluating farmland
  • Purchase, lease and financing options
  • Planning to sell, lease or transition your farmland

Beginning and established farmland seekers as well as farmers, landowners and community members are invited to attend. There will be time for individual assistance from professional advisors.

Professionals in the local farming community will answer questions about how to plan, evaluate, buy, lease, qualify for funding, and understand conservation easements, owner financing options and more. Register now to reserve your seat.

Sponsored by Franklin Regional Council of Governments, Community Inolved in Sustaining Agriculture, and Land For Good.
