Lecture: Bowhead Whales of Alaska
Wednesday, April 2 at 7 pm at Napi's Restaurant, Provincetown

Presented by Corey Accardo (CCS Right Whale Population program)

Corey will describe the natural history of the bowhead whale and explore the ancient and complex relationship between the whales and the Native Alaskans who are allowed to hunt a limited number of them. She will also discuss the evolving Arctic and how the changing environment affects the animals, land and people.

This presentation is part of the Center for Coastal Studies’ Winter Lecture Series, which is supported in part by Napi’s Restaurant.  Participants are encouraged to arrive at 5 pm and enjoy Napi’s special early bird dinner!

Friday April 18 at 10am - Whale Walk  Join CCS naturalists as we learn about and search the shore for whales.   Meet at Province Lands Visitor Center.  May involve hike of 2-3 miles over flat ground.
Saturday April 19 at 10 am - Earth Day Beach Cleanup and Search for Whales  Meet at Herring Cove Beach, Provincetown.
Tuesday April 22nd at 10 am - Meet Delilah! Step inside an inflatable, life-sized North Atlantic right whale and learn about these rare and unique animals.  Meet at Larkin Hall, Hiebert Marine Lab, 5 Holway Ave, Provincetown.  
Tuesday April 22 at 2:30 pm  - Whale Walk Join CCS naturalists as we learn about and search for whales from shore.  Meet at Herring Cove Beach parking lot, Provincetown.
Wednesday April 23 at 2 pm - Whale Walk  Join CCS naturalists as we learn about and search the shore for whales.  Meet at Province Lands Visitor Center.  May involve hike of 2-3 miles over flat ground.
Thursday April 24 at 10 am - Meet Delilah! Step inside an inflatable, life-sized North Atlantic right whale and learn about these rare and unique animals.  Meet at Larkin Hall, Hiebert Marine Lab, 5 Holway Ave, Provincetown.
