ERNC 3.15.14 Wilderness Safety Challenge

The Alaska Wilderness Safety Challenge teaches skills necessary for traveling in the Alaska backcountry safely. Topics include trip planning, weather factors, terrain management, wilderness first aid, fire starting, shelter building, snowmachine/ATV safety, flora/fauna, navigation, water and ice safety and much more.  The Wilderness Safety Challenge, made possible from a grant by the Department of Public Safety Division of Alaska State Troopers,  will provide you the wilderness skills and confidence you need to get outdoors and enjoy Alaska safely.  This  interactive program is ideal for families and individuals of all ages.  Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
