Healthy NewsWorks Book Launch

 

Honoring the publication of
Leading Healthy Change In Our Communities 2014
In this new book, a top chef who works to improve school lunch programs, a coach who makes champions of inner-city swimmers, a doctor who uses social media to solve public health problems, and others share their insights on making our communities healthier and safer. Their stories are told by elementary and middle school students who participate in the Healthy NewsWorks student media program.

Examples of what your gift can accomplish:

Associate Sponsor: $2,500 to $4,999—Foster greater opportunities for more students and communities to engage in special health-focused programs.

Community Sponsor: $1,000 to $2,499—Help us grow and develop the Healthy NewsWorks program as a health and literacy resource in our communities.

Associate Sponsor: $500 to $999Enable teachers and students to take part in health literacy classes or journalism workshops.

Contributing sponsor: $250 to $499—Fund transportation and expenses for student journalists to attend off-campus news conferences or events.

Sponsor: $150 to $249—Provide books, reporter's notebooks, and other newsroom resources for student journalists.
