House Speaker Tim Miley (D-Harrison) initiated the Listening Tour in late 2013 with the objective to hear firsthand from WV small business owners and entrepreneurs. “We will work collaboratively with people at the local level to hear from as many successful small businesses and entrepreneurs as possible to determine what hurdles they might have faced that we, as a legislative body, can remove to allow small businesses to flourish,” Miley said.

The listening session is open to the public. The hope is for area business owners and entrepreneurs of all ages and experience levels to attend – from someone thinking about starting a new business to the third-generation family business owner.
