You are invited to attend the West Virginia House of Delegates Small Business and Entrepreneurship Listening Session.

 Who should attend:

  • Small business owners and entrepreneurs with an existing business in West Virginia.
  • Individuals who have or are considering a new business in West Virginia.
  • Individuals or organizations who provide services or assist businesses in West Virginia.
  • Individuals who are interested in advancing small businesses and entrepreneurs in West Virginia.

Why you should attend:

  • Share firsthand with other small businesses and entrepreneurs what is working well in the West Virginia business environment.
  • Directly provide possible solutions to address challenges faced by small businesses and entrepreneurs in West Virginia.
  • Learn specific successes other business owners have achieved in West Virginia.

House Speaker Tim Miley (D-Harrison) initiated the Listening Tour in late 2013 with the objective to hear firsthand from WV small business owners and entrepreneurs. “We will work collaboratively with people at the local level to hear from as many successful small businesses and entrepreneurs as possible to determine what hurdles they might have faced that we, as a legislative body, can remove to allow small businesses to flourish,” Miley said.

The listening session is open to the public. The hope is for area business owners and entrepreneurs of all ages and experience levels to attend – from someone thinking about starting a new business to the third-generation family business owner.
