OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach Program 

The 10-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide entry level construction workers general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site.

THE OSHA 10 HOUR CLASS COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:

• Introduction to OSHA
• Focus Four Hazards:
  1. Fall Protection, Subpart M
  2. Struck by (e.g., falling objects, trucks, cranes)
  3. Caught in/between (e.g., trench hazards, equipment)
  4. Electrical, Subpart K
• Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment, Subpart E
• Health Hazards in Construction (e.g., noise, hazards communication and crystalline silica)

10-HOUR ELECTIVE COURSE TOPICS MAY INCLUDE:

• Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal, Subpart H
• Tools - Hand and Power, Subpart I
• Scaffolds, Subpart L
• Excavations, Subpart P
• Stairways and Ladders, Subpart X
• The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)

Upon successful completion, participants will receive an OSHA construction safety and health 10-hour course completion card from the Department of Labor.
