 Are you thinking about starting your own business? Have you already started a new business and need a little "tune-up"? If so, this workshop is just right for you. This comprehensive but easy-to-understand overview will help you get started on the right path toward a successful business.

  • The need for sound financial controls

Presenters:

John Wham is a graduate electrical engineer with approximately 25 years experience in design and development of both military and commercial systems, beginning as an entry-level engineer and culminating as the Chief Engineer of a major division of a large electronics company. John co-founded a software development company and was in charge of product design and development. The company’s software products included a distributed project management system, regulation-compliant security system, and a sales force automation system, which became the flagship product of the company during the last 10 years of operation. He also served as President of the company for 4 years leading up to the time it was sold.  

Jack Philbin retired after thirty years of management experience at Eastman Kodak, where he served in a variety of positions in Engineering, Information Systems, Human Resources, Accounting and Material Management. For two years he was staff to the Office of Chief Executive. Subsequently, he was a Consulting and Global Account Manager for Fourth Shift – an ERP software provider. He retired for the second and last time in August of 2000 and joined SCORE in 2001.
