One Step Away is Philadelphia's first newspaper produced by those without homes for those with homes. Our mission is to provide meaningful income and personal growth opportunities to individuals experiencing homelessness and/or joblessness, while raising awareness and advocacy for the homeless community.

Our fundraiser at Chickie’s & Pete’s, gives us at One Step Away a vital chance to raise money and awareness about homelessness in our area.  Our guests will get a chance to meet with celebrity advocates, as well as compete in Wii Boxing and other video games, participate in the silent auction and enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres.

Last year, Knock Out Homelessness raised over $28,000, a sum that was directly able to help support our newspaper vendors and fight homelessness in Philadelphia.

So how can you get involved?

• Attend the event: $75 early-bird price before May 15^th, or $100 at the door
• Contribute items to our silent auction or raffle
• Sponsor our event through various levels of sponsorship, each of which include their own bonuses.
