You've got a new idea and you're ready to take it to market.  Great!  But before you do, you need to consider protecting your creativity to prevent others from using and selling your big new idea.  This is an area called Intellectual Property.  Intellectual Property includes patents for new products and processes, copyrights for creative material,including writings, artwork, songs, and other artistic material, and trademarks used by your business on products or in advertising.  The class will provide an overview of patents, trademarks and copyrights.  We will cover the process for obtaining each of them and the rights each provides
the holder.  We will also discuss some of the business issues to consider when seeking intellectual property

Understanding Addiction in the Workplace

This class will cover how to recognize various types of addiction issues in the workplace.  We will examine addiction as a whole and how the individual is affected by the disease.  Covered will be the warning signs, and how the employer can best address and assist the employee from struggle to success.  While there are obvious signs of addiction, there are also not so obvious signs.  After the problem has been identified, it will be very important to establish when to address the concern with the employee.  Be prepared for a lively
