Who is Santa?:  Santa Knowledge, Historical Overview, Relevant Texts, Other Christmas Traditions and practices.

Putting on THE RED SUIT!:   24/7 Styles, Looks – what’s right for you, Ideas, Sources, Informal Santa looks (this is part of your Marketing)Red shoes, Suits, Belts, Boots, Shirts, Gloves, Vests, Shoes, Hats, Glasses, Santa’s bag, Bibs, Aprons, Hawaiian shirts, head cover.
Looking and Acting like Santa:  Hygiene-cleanliness, body odor, No Smoking, No Alcohol, Avoid eating and drinking in character,Hair, beard, etc., Teeth, oral health, breath odor, Eyes, Make up, Fitness, Smile, Voice. “HO HO HO” Hair care, bleaching and cutting.

How to act on “Set”:  Being “In Character”, White Gloves in View, Santa never makes “promises”, Listening to children, Problem children, Infants and toddlers, School age, Teens, Mental, physical disabilities, Frisky middle aged women, Problem parents, Avoid conflicts, disagreements, NO politics, sport teams, (Santa doesn’t take sides)Dealing with religious differences, Working with staff, elves, helpers, Mrs. Claus, Posing, looking at camera, (remember the photo is important to the parents, and the visit is very important to the child).

MRS. CLAUS'S WORKSHOP AGENDA

Special 2-3 hour program for Mrs. Claus ONLY

Discussion and Introduction to Storytelling Techniques and Improvisation.  Role Playing of possible scenarios based on the                “The Night Before Christmas”

INTRODUCTION: History of Mrs. Claus.

DISCUSSION: Importance of Costume and how it reflects your Character.

INTERPRETATIVE PRESENTATION: Basic Pantomime and Improvisation skills.
 

STORYTELLING BASICS: Discussion and introduction to Storytelling Techniques and Improvisation.Actual reading of selected Christmas stories and Interactive Role Playing.

PREVENTATIVE EXERCISE: What can and will go wrong, and how to circumvent it.
