Emotional Intelligence: What is it and how can it leverage my social and leadership skills?

Emotional Intelligence is defined as “the ability to perceive, accurately appraise and express emotion; the ability to access and/or generate feelings when they facilitate thought; the ability to understand emotion and emotional knowledge; and the ability to regulate emotions to promote emotional and intellectual growth.” Emotional Intelligence requires successful emotional self-management.

The head-heart connection continues to be researched and discussed in order to better understand successful leadership, the right balance of head and heart in decision making and building and maintaining relationships. There are many studies that show, for example, that if the leader of a team is in a positive mood, that spreads an upbeat mood to the others and that collective positivity enhances the group’s performance.

Plan to attend this educational session and self-assess your current EI and receive tips and tools for increasing your EI to build and strengthen your relationships and accelerate your business results.

Objectives:

¥  Understand the 4 facets of Emotional Intelligence

¥  Improve self management with EI

¥  Manage, lead, and relate more effectively with others
