All Participants throughout the year will be entered for a chance to WIN a Hand Made Western Saddle

 

 

1 entry for Saddle Drawing for each clinic or class entered during the PPE Events all season.  Drawing Held on October 26th, 2014 at our final event in Chesterfield, SC.

3 Classes available: $35.00 per class. Overall Weekend High Point Awards provided by World Class Saddlery along with CASH Prize, Class Awards, Ribbons, Trophies & Year End HIgh Point Year End Buckle Awards for each division!

 Week  Schedule: 

  Mon  AM- Ground Skills & Hobbling Workshop

 Tues  AM-Riding with a Neck rope & Bridle-less riding Workshop & PM-Working at Liberty. 

Wed AM- Group Trail Ride on "Special Trails" with PPE Team

 Wed Night-BYOW-"Bring your own Weenie"  for our Group Weenie Roast Covered Dish Supper.  Gather together by the campfire & bring you favorite dish & weenie.  We supply the buns!

Thur am  -Ranch Horse Trail Patterns Workshop

Thur 7 PM: PPE Bar-b-que Pot Luck Dinner.  PPE will  supply the Bar-b-que and everyone bring their Pot Luck Dish Favorite.  

Fri 10am-4pm-Trail Horse Clinic with obstacles $100.00 per horse/rider

Participants will sign up for ride out times for each Class for Sat & Sun. Ride out time sheet will be posted at check in.  

Sat 9am -Posting of  In-Hand obstacle Course/Map

Sat 10am: In-Hand Class begins

Sat 1pm:  Trail Course with Obstacles begins

Sun 9am-Cowboy Church

Sun 10am-  Trail Pleasure Class w/obstacles begins.

Sun 2pm: Awards Presentation

Food/Concessions:  Available Fri, Sat  & Sun  provided by Tootie.  Riders will need to supply their own breakfast, lunch & dinner during the week days.

Trails will be available to ride for pleasure during your stay.

 On Friday  Trail Horse Clinic (focusing on Obstacles)  with Perfect Partners Equine Clinicians from 10am to 4pm. Join our clinicians to gain knowledge on conquering obstacles  and developing a better trail horse. $100.00 per participant.

During the weekend we will have  phtographer Becky Pearman on site to capture those wonderful moments with you and yours horse.  

  Enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing all at your door step!

 


  Saturday & Sunday Trail Horse Competition:

3 Trail Horse Classes: ($35.00 per class) 

 1.   In-Hand Obstacle Class 

  2.  Trail Course Obstacle Class (3-5 miles of trail) 

 3.   Trail Pleasure Obstacle Class(in arena)  

 We offer 4 Divisions:  

 All Breed  Adult & Youth & AQHA Adult & Youth (youth 6-18yrs.) 

3 Levels  for All Breed & AQHA

 Level 1 -Training Level: This is considered a new partnership. The rider and horse may not have established trust or are unsure about each member's ability to negotiate simple obstacles.  Obstacles should be easy to explain to the team: basic maneuver or technique needed to complete the obstacle.

Level 2-Intermediate Level: This is considered an established Partnership. The rider and Horse are familiar with one another, exhibit trust when negotiating obsacles are conditioned to ride a longer course. 

Level 3-Masters Level:  This is considered a Partnership where Horse and rider have established trust, can negotiate difficult obstacles and are conditioned for a longer course. 

You may show in 1 Class or all 3 Classes. One horse/One rider in Trail Course Class.

A rider may show multiple horses in both the In-Hand & Trail Pleasure Classes.

 You do not have to compete to participate in clinic.

May 30th-June 1st - 3 Day Horsemanship Clinic at Campbell Springs Farm in Chesterfield, VA  

 September 19th-21st- Trail Horse Challenge & Clinic- Lone Hickory Arena in Yadkinville, NC

October 24th-26th-Trail Horse Challenge &  Clinic Year End Finals.  So 8ths Farm in Chesterfield, VA.   High Point Awards & Saddle drawing held Oct. 26th.  

Camping Information:

Primitive Camping Available on Site with room for picket lines, portable fencing.  (please limit portable pens to 14x14 per  horse) Water Access available on site.

RV Hookups & Stalls/Pens Available 2 miles from Main Event Location-Contact Us for Details

- Water Acces  on site- Shower/Bath house on site.

$15.00 Grounds Fee per rider (all riders) for entire week.

 For everyone's safety we ask that   ALL DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH and leash must be ATTACHED TO HUMAN AT ALL TIMES. ($50.00 fine for each infraction) Agressive dogs must remain confined inside trailer/cage &  supervised by owner when on leash.
