The 2014 Mercer Muskie Madness Challenge (MMM) is a catch and release tournament sponsored by the Mercer Area Chamber of Commerce, The Turtle Flambeau Flowage Association and Gateway Lodge. This tournament is to help support our Wounded Warriors in Action. A unique feature of this tournament is that each team member may have two lines in the water using one artificial bait and one live bait!

Teams of two can fish any of the ten designated lakes within the Turtle Flambeau Flowage River System that have full and legal access. Those lakes are: Fisher Lake, Spider Lake, Oxbow Lake, Echo Lake, Grand Portage Lake, Pike Lake, Mercer Lake, Lake of the Falls, Trude Lake, and the Turtle Flambeau Flowage.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams.Determination of winners are based on a point system. Any Muskie caught between 36" up to 38" = 8pts; 38" upt to 40"=10pts; 40" legal =25pts; and an 1 addtional point is earned for each 1/2" over 40". Based on 60 teams, the 1st Place prize payout will $2400. *Amount subject to change according to actual number of registered teams.

Each team that successfully catches and releases a Muskie, but does not finish in the top 3, will be entered into a separate drawing on Saturday to win $100.00

Early bird entry fee is $150 for the two person team if registered by September 1, 2014. After September 1, 2014 the entry fee will increase to $175.00. Entry fee also includes banquet dinner, awards, and door prizes on Saturday night. We will also have lots of raffle prizes too. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Wounded Warriors in Action www.wwiaf.org.

Rules Briefing: All participants are encourage to attend the rules briefings, however, one team member must atttend a rules briefing meeting either on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6-8PM or Friday morning, October 17, 2014 at 7AM. Thursday night meeting attendees will have a chance to win some great prizes. Each participant must sign a rules sheet and release waiver before the "Official" bump boards will be released. Tournament fishing times are Friday, October 17th from 7AM-8PM and Saturday, October 18th from 7AM-5PM

Additional rules:
*Two Person Teams. Limit two contestants per boat.
*Each boat must have a digital camera or camera phone with date and time stamp.
* Each camera must have either a removable SD card or email capabilities to upload/send to computer for printing.
*All fish photos must show left side of fish on the provided bump board in a manner that the entire fish and bump board are showing.
*Two lines per person allowed in the wwater. Only one line per person may use live bait.
*Must be 18 year of age unless fishing with a parent or guardian.
*All Wisconsin regulations apply except where MMM rules prevail.
*No refunds will be issued after October 1, 2014. A 25% administration fee will be withheld for all cancellations made prior to October 1st.
**Live wells and boats are subjec to inspection at any given time during the tournament.
*The same fish caught twice by the same team will only be counted once.
*All judge's decisions on fish measurement and identification are FINAL.
