Future of the Media Panel

The media landscape is constantly evolving with new owners already making their mark at the Boston Globe and the Washington Post; AOL’s acquisition of the Huffington Post and disposal of Patch; and Tina Brown's departure from the Daily Beast to start a conference company. Then there's legendary investor Warren Buffett, an ex-Washington Post paperboy, acquiring 70 newspapers (including 30 dailies for an outlay of some $400 million) over the past eighteen months!

On April 17, the Boston chapters of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) and PRSA (Public Relations Society of America), along with Boston University's College of Communication, are hosting an informed discussion on the future of the media at BU's Photonic Center in Boston.  A distinguished panel of experienced luminaries and practitioners will discuss the changes that are taking place in the media industry and what the implications might be for media practitioners and students now and in the future.
