Cavanal Killer 5K Walk/Run

RUNNERS: REGISTRATION 7:30 AM, RUN BEGINS: 8:15AM

WALKERS: REGISTRATION 8:30 AM, RUN BEGINS: 9:30AM

The Cavanal Killer is not a race but trophies are give for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Walk and in the Run and for the Largest Group and or Organization. The Cavanal Killer is not your average walk/run. Cavanal Hill is over 5 miles and 1500 feet high with an average grade of 8%, some sections with a 14% grade. Can you handle the killer?

Early Bird Registration Fee is $20 for entries received on April 23, 5:00 pm, this includes postmarked.  Any entry, including postmarked, received after 5:00pm, April 23 will be charged the $25 late fee.

Registration fee includes: Registration, T-Shirt, Event Lunch, and (1) ticket to the pre-event spagetti dinner.  You must pre-pregister by April 23 to be GUARANTEED a t-shirt. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS. 

Pre-Event Spaghetti Dinner
Your entry fee includes one ticket ot the pre walk/run spaghetti dinner that will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm. At this dinner, you can pick up your race packets.  You may also order addtional tickets for the dinner at $6 each.  

Things to remember:
Wear comfortable walking shoes & clothing

Water will be provided at stations on the way, but participants are encouraged to bring their own. A light lunch & snacks are provided at the top.

Transportation is provided back down the hill for both walkers and runners.

THE POTEAU CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, THE CITY OF POTEAU, LEFLORE COUNTY AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, VOLUNTEERS AND SPONSORS ARE NOT ASSUMING ANY OBLIGATIONS WITH REGARD TO SUCH RISKS AND SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY ARISING FROM ANY WALKER'S/RUNNER’S PARTICIPATION IN THE ANNUAL WALK/RUN.  I grant permission to all the foregoing to use any photographs, video’s, recordings or any other record or my likeness for any other legitimate purpose.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

For the safety of the participants, we ask that you please do not drive personal vehicles to the top of the hill or that you do not call and ask for personal transportation back down the hill.  We will have busses that will be providing transportation from the top back to the Elementary School for both walkers and runners.  For the safety of all involved, we ask that you be aware of traffic and please move to the SAME SIDE  when you see traffic approaching in front or behind you! We apologize for the inconvenience but appreciate your cooperation.
