2014 Public Safety Leadership Seminar
" Is your community prepared?"
On April 15, 2013, two bombs went off near the finsih line of the Boston Marathon, killing three spectators and wounding more than 260 people. Four days later, after an intensive manhunt that shut down the Boston area, one bmbing suspect was killed following a shootout with law enforcment and one apprehended.
This cours is a look at the training exercise and planning that lead to the response to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. The insturctor, Superintendent-in-Chief Daniel P. Linskey will share lessons learned on the immediate response to the attache as well as the investigation and the eventual arrest and capture of the two terrorists. The cours will discuss best practices to prepare and respond to future terrorists attacks. The attendee will take-away the knowledge of what is needed for event or emergency management planning in their community.
The 2014 Public Safety Seminar is designed for ALL personnel that plan, train and prepare for events or critical incidents in their communities. Any member of public safety leadership should attend including military command staff or their representatives.
