Data-Driven Career Pathways

In partnership with Economic Modeling Specialists International (EMSI), the PA Workforce Development Association is offering a webinar titled "Data-Driven Career Pathways" on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 1:30 pm EDT.  The cost for the 45-60 minute program is $25.

Scott Sheely, executive director of the Lancaster County Workforce Investment Board, will lead this hands-on presentation of a model that was developed and is being used to supplement industry analysis with a more occupation-based look at Career Pathways.  Sheely will demonstrate the steps in the process that lead to a Top 100 Occupations document, profiles of Pathways for the local area, and ultimately a Skills Acquisition Chart that form the basis of service delivery planning.  Information gleaned from this process can also be used to train Career Counselors in a variety of contexts as well as to provide a framework for the planning of curriculum.
