Led by: Dr. Maryann Cusimano Love
This year’s Living for Others retreat will explore the many dimensions of the Catholic understanding of peace:
- Catholic teaching on war and peace from Vatican II to the present
- Traditions of Nonviolence & Just War
- Building peace in war-torn areas
- Pope Francis and peace as a fundamental human right
- Spirituality of peace
Whether you are a Catholic school teacher, youth minister, or just wanting to grow in your faith, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to find out how the Church’s teaching on war and peace strives to meet the challenges in our world. This retreat will provide new ideas and resources. You will meet people engaged in mission trips, hear youth reflect on the impact of immersion experience on their lives, and gain new insights on the call to be peacemakers from Pope Francis’ The Joy of the Gospel.
Attendance at this event qualifies for 12 Washington State Clock Hours for Catholic School Teachers. You will need to complete the necessary paperwork at the event to receive credit.
