The inspiration and authority of the Bible are being challenged on many fronts in our culture today. It is imperative that we are able to give a reasoned response to these objections. By attending this half-day seminar, you will gain a better understanding of the issues, be inspired by the gift of God's revelation, and be equipped to answer some of the critical questions.

Dr. John Frame—esteemed professor, author, ordained minister (PCA)—has strengthened the faith of countless individuals through the multiplied impact of his writings and his work training pastors. He is well known for his four-volume Theology of Lordship series, including The Doctrine of the Word of God, and he recently released Systematic Theology: An Introduction to Christian Belief. Students appreciate Dr. Frame's wealth of insight and his ability to communicate complex issues simply and clearly. He currently teaches core courses on systematic theology, apologetics, ethics and philosophy at Reformed Theological Seminary Orlando. Dr. Frame holds degrees from Princeton, Yale, Westminster Theological Seminary and Belhaven College. |
Session 1: Receiving the Bible as God’s Personal Words
In this session, Dr. Frame will show that God’s Word to us is very much like our words to one another, but it comes to us with absolute authority. He will also explain what “authority” means in this context and, therefore, what it means to hear the Word of God.
Session 2: Gaining Assurance that God Has Spoken to Us in the Bible
A number of questions arise from the claim that the Bible is the Word of God: How do we know that God has spoken to us in Scripture? How do we know for sure what he has said to us? In this session, Dr. Frame will explore the Christian grounds for certainty.
Session 3: Q&A with Dr. Frame
A selection of Dr. Frame’s books will be offered for purchase, and Dr. Frame will be available for book-signing after the event.
