Liturgy of the Hours Retreat

Interested in ways and ideas on how to bring this official prayer of the Church back to your parish?
Br. Aelred Woodard, O.S.B. is a choirmaster of St. Martin’s Abbey and teaches Religions Studies at Saint Martin’s University. Following graduation from high school in 1961, he pursued seminary/university studies in philosophy and theology. In 1968 he was drafted into the United States Army. In 1972, while attending St. Martin's College on the GI Bill, he was the district winner of the Metropolitan Opera audition in Seattle. From 1971-1972, he was Post Music director of Ft. Lewis, WA before joining the Abbey of St. Martin's as a monk in 1973. He has continued his musical endeavors, and has given recitals around the country and in England, Belgium, Spain, France, Austria and Bavaria.
Andrew Casad has served since 2013 as the Director of the Office for Liturgy for the Archdiocese of Seattle. Andrew was for seven years the Director of Liturgy and Catechumenate at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He holds a Master of Theological Studies in liturgical studies from the University of Notre Dame (2003) and a Master of Arts in cultural anthropology from the University of California San Diego (2005). Andrew is a course facilitator for Notre Dame's online theology program (STEP), served as a team member for the North American Forum on the Catechumenate, and has published in Pastoral Liturgy, Catechumenate, and Catholic Rural Life. Andrew was baptized and raised in the practice of our Catholic faith at the Church of St. Mary in Escondido, California and was called to the sacrament of marriage in 2001. He and his wife, Michelle, live on a small farm on Vashon Island together with their children aged five and two.
