Ma'at E. Lewis, Ph.D.
Dr. Lewis is an Associate Professor of Counseling at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York. She is Board Certified in African-Centered/Black Psychology, holds a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology and master of arts in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Lewis is an initiate in the African traditional spiritual system of Egyptian Yoga and completed participation in the International three-year Training Group in Transpersonal Breathwork, Spiritual Guidance and Transpersonal Psychotherapy. Dr. Lewis is a Past President of the New York Association of Black Psychologists and a former Student Circle Chair board member of the National Association of Black Psychologists.
Anthony J. Smith, Ph.D.
Anthony Smith, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Director & Founder of Alase Center for Enrichment. Dr. Smith has been involved in the mental health field for over 15 years. He is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Health Services Provider in North Carolina. Dr. Smith received his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and received a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology also from Southern Illinois University. He is a past president of the Triangle Chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists.
