Painting on Canvas at Bertucci’s

Create your own piece of art in a social and supportive environment. No experience necessary. All painting supplies included. Note: the workshop will be held at Bertucci’s of Reading and will include appetizers. Additional food and beverages may be purchased.

“Mom & Me” at Bertucci’s, Ages … kids, bring your mom ... or send her on a coffee break!

Join CREATIVE ARTS at Bertucci's for a morning all about moms! Moms and kids are invited to join artist Natalie Busby for a morning of clay creations, card-making and pizza. Moms enjoy spending time with your kids as they channel their creativity into the perfect Mother's Day gifts ... OR, if the children are over 4 years old, then you can drop them off and go run errands, grab of cup of coffee, etc! Afterwards tap into your culinary skills and work together to prepare your own pizzas!

"Feed Two Birds with One Piece of Bread" - A Youth Vocal Ensemble Class - Ages 6-9
The primary focus of this group vocal class, is for youngsters to learn the melody to the song, "Feed the Birds"  from Mary Poppins and other short music ensemble selections. Emphasis in the class is for students to sing naturally while learning the fundamentals in music vocabulary, such as meter signatures, identifying notes on staff line, clef signs, and basic staging. Singing 'technique starters' are introduced, such as "greater mouth space for singing" and proper breathing. Innovative games and creative music exercises are an integral  part of the class, to spark children's creativity. Student recitals takes place the last day of class to share their performance practice. Students participating with classmates, working together, and sharing ideas is the fuel to their self-confidence & a catalyst for a performer's "stage presence!" Indeed, a joyful way for you & your children to jump into Spring!

Stained Glass: Add Color to Your Life! - Adults
Learn to design, cut, solder, and finish glass projects at your own pace. This course is for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Course cost does not include specific project materials. This class is made possible in part by The Harpley Foundation.

Art Sampler: Painting & Drawing - Adults

NEW! Explore Watercolor: Drawing & Painting - Adults
Relax, enjoy, and paint! This beginner drawing and painting class will have you working from observation, building drawing skills, and enjoying the art of watercolor. We will explore both abstract and representational approaches to watercolor and learn about new artists. Before you know it you’ll be working wet on wet, wet on dry, glazing, and more! A materials list will be provided on the first day.

NEW! Play with Clay! - Adults
Get your hands messy and have fun with clay! This workshop will have you experimenting with hand-building techniques as well as using the wheel. We will explore the 3D form in both sculptural and functional products. Additional sculptural materials include modeling clay, model magic and sculpty! This informal class will include complimentary tea at break time - so come play with clay!

NEW! Improv - Adults
Creativity is a muscle! So come workout with us! Improv classes can be fun and help you with public speaking, creative thinking, and observation and listening skills. This class is geared towards the beginner and intermediate student. We will work as a team on the basic improv skills, and short form games you may have seen in “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Most importantly, we will have fun!

Free-Write Class - Adults

What happens when Word Girl, Arthur and Minions meet? Crazy Cartooning!! This class will have you drawing and laughing at Captain Huggy Face as you make him walk, dance, and play. You will learn how to make Dave look like he is climbing a tree, while an apple drops on Kevin’s head! Bring your imagination to life with our favorite cartoon characters and invent your own cartoons!

NEW! Minecraft & Claymation Mania! - Ages 6-12
Build your own minecraft cities and include your creepers, skeletons, and zombies. Write your own script to include 3D sheep, cows and donkeys as side characters. For your city use wood, cobblestone, gold, diamond, flint, or iron textured surfaces. Once the characters and stage are created, use video editing tools to make your own animated movie! Students will download free editing tools onto their own Ipods/Ipads/Nooks to work on their super fun animations in class.
