Learn How to Finance Your Building Upgrades through Energy Savings Improvement Programs (ESIPs)

Energy efficiency is one of the best ways municipalities and school districts can save money and tax dollars. An innovative financing tool, called an Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP), allows local government entities to leverage future energy savings to pay for building and equipment upgrades.

Paying for large-scale building upgrades such as high efficiency motors, transformers, water heaters, boilers, and air conditioning units can be challenging. A new financing tool, called an Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP), allows New Jersey municipalities and school districts to leverage energy savings resulting from installing a package of energy efficiency measures to cover upfront costs. Learn how your organization can take advantage of this innovative financing tool to complete necessary large-scale building upgrades, and significantly reduce its energy costs. Learn more about how this underutilized option can help address your organization’s short and long term needs.

TOPICS

  • Current state law regarding ESIPs
