Teaching Independence Through the Use of Visual Supports 7-16-14 -PM

Speake:Kim Caudell

Target Audience: Special Educator, and General Education Teacher, Counselors, School Psychologists, and Para Educators

Visual supports are all around us.  We use them every day to help us get around town, know where we need to go, or when we need to be there.  Visual supports help students become more
independent as they rely more on the visual prompts and less on the verbal ones.  Learn the various types of visual supports, their importance, and how you can begin to teach your students independence through the use of visual supports.
