Join Us for the 2014 NCAOA Annual Training Conference!

The North Carolina Association on Aging will hold its Annual Training Conference on Wednesday,April 23 – Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center. The theme for the2014 Conference is “All Hands on Deck” focusing on the importance of working together in our everchanging aging environment.

The NCAOA Annual Training Conference is an excellent opportunity to network with a concentrated, yet diverse number of aging professionals and volunteers. The NCAOA Training Conference is nowthe only state aging conference in North Carolina. More than 200+ persons are expected to attend, making our conference large enough for quality, but small enough for good interaction amongparticipants.

The 2014 Conference program is full of training opportunities and updates from the leaders in our aging network which includes and exciting opening session keynote address presented by Ellie Hollander, President and Chief Executive Officer, Meals On Wheels Association of America and Dennis Streets, Director, NC Division of Aging and Adult Services.

We have powerful workshops planned that not only offer training but the opportunity to share and brainstorm new ideas. Building new relationships through networking is an important part of our conference as our aging network continues to grow.

On Tuesday, April 22nd a pre-conference Hunger Summit will be held in collaboration with the AARP Foundation Drive to End Hunger and the Meal on Wheels Association of NC.  At the Hunger Summit, you will hear from Ellie Hollander, President and Chief Executive Officer of Meals On Wheels Association of America, elected officials, hunger experts and consumers to identify and find hunger solutions. There is no cost for the Hunger Summit.

We hope you will make plans to join us in New Bern and take part in all our conference has to offer.
