Pacific Coast Training Program 

SBR 8 -Week Triathlon Training
Pacific Coast Triathlon
Begins July 12th

RACE:

Pacific Coast Triathlon- Sept 7th

RACE GOAL:

1/2 Mile Swim/ 12 Mile Bike/ 3 Mile Run

WHO:  Beginner/Intermediate Level Triathletes – Ages 16-70 years old of all athletic abilities
WHEN: July 12th- – Sept 7th  (Note: no Class on July 19) – Wed 6:00-7:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8:00-10:30 a.m., Bonus Open Water Swims on Sunday a.m.!
WHERE: The training will be centered at Irvine Racquet Club, the Back Bay, Crystal Cove, Corona Del Mar Beach, Newport Dunes and the extensive cycling and running trails throughout the Newport, Irvine and Tustin areas. Location schedule provided when training starts. Eight Open Water Swim Sessions to prepare for our goal race.

Basic Prerequisites for Participation:
Swim – must be water-safe and have basic swim skills.
Bike – basic riding and bike handling skills for 30 minutes of riding.
Run – walk or run or walk/run for 15 minutes.

Cost Includes:

• 8 – week on-line triathlon training plan customized to a beginner or intermediate level triathlete
• Professional instruction on nutrition, mental preparation, strength and stretch.
• Learning components on all aspects of solid triathlon training such as equipment, safety, strategies for successful swim, bike and run.
• Eight open water swim sessions, track workouts, race prep, race strategy and practice race
• Clinics –Open Water Skills, Functional Strength for Triathletes, Bike Maintenance and Safety, and nutrition seminar.
• Dry Fit SBR Coaching T-shirt  and Visor

Equipment Needed:
• Good quality running shoes
• Operational bike – all styles fine, helmet
• Swim suit, goggles, cap, swim buoy, TYR Fins, wetsuit (can be purchased during class)
