Trinity College Dublin's Science Gallery presents ‘ILLUSION’ @ NAFSA 2014!

Join Trinity staff for this unique event and reception that will give you a vision of Trinity like never before!  This innovative exhibition combines magic with psychology, optical illusions with scientific reasoning, and confusion with clarity to challenge your perceptions of the human mind!

Trinity College Dublin is Ireland's oldest university situated in the very heart of a modern capital city. Trinity's Science Gallery unites imagination and invention to inspire passionate scientific debate both within the University and in public dialogue.  Science Gallery is an initiative pioneered by Trinity which aims to develop a passion for science in young adults through innovative and interactive multidisciplinary exhibitions.

'Discover How the Mind Works: Multi-Sensory Illusions' with Professor Fiona Newell from Trinity's School of Psychology and Institute of Neuroscience.  This focused multi-disciplinary talk will explore the motivations and mechanics of sensory deception.  Professor Newell's research focus is on the processes of human perception.  The main goal is to understand the brain and behavioural processes involved in the multi-sensory perception of objects, faces, bodies and scenes.  Professor Newell is widely published in many of the leading journals in psychology and neuroscience.

Be mystified and amused by the award winning magic of Kevin Viner!  This master of illusion will perform interactive, close-up magic with guests combining deception with comedy, mentalism, illusion and more!

The ILLUSION event and reception is a unique opportunity to meet staff from Trinity and experience first-hand the world class research taking place in STEM, the humanities and health sciences and discove Trinity's commitment to the promotion of world-class education.

Don't miss out and register now!

We look forward to meeting you in San Diego on May 29th.
