Please join the New York/New Jersey AIDS Education and Training Center and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Region II as we host the Hepatitis C in 2014 Webinar Series for clinicians focusing on the newly released Recommendations for Testing, Managing, and Treating Hepatitis C.

This third webinar in the three-part series will focus on the recommendations for the treatment experienced patient and for treating Hepatitis C and HIV Co-infection. The webinar is intended for clinical providers. 

 The one-hour webinar will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 12:00 - 1:00 EST.

Objectives

1. Discuss the role of HCV direct acting antivirals (DAA) in patients co-infected with HIV and HCV and those that are treatment experienced.
2. List the preferred regimens provided in the new AASLD/IDSA guidelines for managing HCV infection in co-infection and in treatment experienced patients. 
3. Using clinical case scenarios, apply principles and recommendations in new AASLD/IDSA guidelines to real cases. 
4. Review common drug interactions likely to occur with DAAs and provide online resources to assist providers in patient care.
