The Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) Course and Exam is for individuals involved in E&S control activities. A CPESC is a specialist in E&S control activities who has met established standards of expertise, experience and knowledge. The certification provides the public evidence of their professional qualifications.
The program is designed for individuals involved in the following E&S activities:
Development and review of permits
Design and review of E&SC and drainage plans
Installation and inspection of E&SC practices
Related activities (such as assisting regulators, authoring handbooks and educating the public)
Day 1: The Training and Review Course is a good educational opportunity for anyone involved in erosion and sediment control. This is a stand alone course and there are no additional fees or requirements to attend the training. Lunch is provided on Day 1.

Day 2: The CPESC Exam is required to receive a CPESC certification. The CPESC Application process must be completed at least 30 days prior to the exam date to receive a Letter of Eligiblity to take the exam. There is a separate fee to CPESC for the application process.
Manuals are not required to take the course. However, they are included in the CPESC application fee for those taking the Exam on Day 2 and will be issued with the exam eligibility letter. Anyone attending only the Training and Review Course on Day 1 may purchase a manual at www.CPESC.org.
