City of Fort Collins Trail Day - Timber & Maxwell

Help maintain two of our favorite and most used trails: Pineridge’s Timber Trail and the Maxwell Trail.  Both are in need of some loving care.  Work will include rock armoring, fill work, dip and roll construction, knicks, and berm removal.

Please join us for this “Trail Morning”.   We plan to get started promptly at 8:30 and finish by 12:30.  We will meet at the Pineridge Natural Area parking lot. The entrance to the lot is Lariat Road, one mile west of Overland Trail on 42C (Dixon Canyon Road), west of Dixon Reservoir.

Try to carpool, if possible, as parking is limited.  Lunch and tools will be provided by Overland Mountain Bike Club and the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas.

We are looking for 6-8 leads, so if you are experienced with trail building and maintenance, please indicate so.

Bring: Hat, sunscreen, gloves, a snack, and water.

In 2011 hundreds of volunteers participated throughout the summer to build about 80% of the trail. Overland MTB Club is working in conjunction with the US Forest Service and Wildlands Restoration Volunteers (WRV) to provide a significant number of volunteers in order to see this project to completion. We need you! There's only 20% of trail construction that stands between youY
