Marist Students, Alumni, Staff, Faculty, and Friends are invited to attend OUT in the Real World. Marist alumni return to campus to share personal stories about being openly gay in the workplace. This alumni panel will answer questions about interviewing, finding gay friendly workplaces, and how/when to share your story with colleagues.
Thursday, April 24
Performing Arts Room
Student Center 3101
5 - 7 p.m.
The purpose of the panel is for all people to gain an understanding of what it means to be "OUT" in the workplace with all the complexities, difficulties, and challenges that go with it. We hope it is helpful for gay people to understand what the future may hold and for straight people to learn ways to be supportive.
We'll be joined by alumni representing a range of generational perspectives from an array of industries including higher education, finance, pharmaceuticals, public service, and more. Alumni will be available to network with students following the panel.
ALL ARE WELCOME!
