Do you want to help us know more about Danville Area business needs? Join the 3rd Annual Danville Area Business Outreach Walk or “BOW!” on Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
BOW! is a “face to face” informal survey of local businesses sponsored by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Danviile. The goal is to get 50 to 60 volunteers out on the streets of Danville, Alamo and Blackhawk to ask the burning questions:
The BOW! committee is asking volunteers to donate 30 - 45 minutes of your day on Wednesday, May 14th between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. The DACC will assign you 3 businesses in close proximity to each other. You choose the time that is right for you (and your 3 businesses).
Each business you survey will be left with a contact card providing them with contacts, phone numbers and websites of local agencies that offer assistance to small businesses. You will also have give them a card inviting them to the mixer that evening.
You can drop off your surveys at the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce offices or come as our guest to the "Day of the Town Mixer" at the future site of the Kids Country Center for the Arts and Sciences, 500 La Gonda Way, Danville 94526 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm that same day (May 14th).
“Our goal is to reach out to 20% of the 1,000 brick and mortar businesses in Danville on the 14th,” says Shelby McNamara, President of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce. “The BOW has become an annual event and will give us a great snapshot of how business is faring. This year we are also going to add Alamo and Blackhawk to the Walk”.
For those business owners who are not personally contacted on May 14 and for home based businesses, a survey will be available on the Chamber website at www.danvilleareachamber.com. The survey will go “live” early in May and will close on May 31st. The results will be reported and used to improve the quality of doing business in Danville.
