Mitzvah Day schedule of events:
9am -- 11am: Sunday School-Mitzvah Day Edition for grades K-7. There will be a project to decorate and fill “Mitzvah Bags” with healthy snacks for children at Ronald McDonald House and El Buen Pastor Latino Community Services.
11am -- 11:30am: Mitzvah Day Service (for all grades and Mitzvah Day participants)
11:30am – 12:15pm:
1. Brunch, provided by Brotherhood;
2. Check-in with project captains to sign waivers and get directions;
3. Day-of registration for events
12:15: Leave Temple for projects sites.
12:45: Projects begin (see project specific start times)
Please bring the following items to be donated to various organizations: clothing, children's books, sample size toiletries, large size toiletries.

Children's Home Spring Gardening: Come and garden with us at The Children's Home, which, since 1909, has been caring for children and youth in need. This garden provides fresh produce for the children and also for the food bank to feed needy families. Wear closed shoes and bring gardening gloves and tools if you have them. No rain date!
Sunnyside Ministry Repackaging Food: Come and repackage beans and rice into one pound ziplock bags for families who need emergency assistance or are suffering financial hardship. Wear closed shoes.
Second Harvest Food Bank Stocking the Pantry: We will be sorting and salvaging donated foods to help the food bank prevent perfectly edible food from ending up in the dumpster and redistribute it to hunger relief agencies. Wear closed shoes. Additional release form to be signed.
Hospice and Palliative Care Meal Preparation: We will be preparing and packaging meals for delivery to hospices so that however long a person has to live, every moment can be nourished with nutritious life-giving food. Wear closed shoes.
Habitat for Humanity Build - Morning: Join us to help build a new home or revitalize an existing home. Additional release form to be signed. Minimum age 16 (or 18 if participant will be > 6 feet off the ground). No rain date!
Veterans Helping Veterans Heal: Veterans Helping Veterans Heal is a 24-unit transitional housing program for male homeless veterans in Forsyth County. Our Mitzvah Day project will include landscaping and planting in the Veterans' Garden. Bring: garden gloves. Adults over age 18.
