CRS Designation Course #200- Business Planning & Marketing 

The Business Planning & Marketing for the Residential Specialist Course (CRS 200) will help you create a strong business that will withstand any market condition- while making a profit.

Instructor: Mark Given is honored to be a Certified Instructor for The Council of Residential Specialists (CRS), and teaches ABR and ABR electives, Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES), NAR Green, and SFR nationally. He is a Ninja Selling Master Instructor, and has been a GRI Instructor for many states. Mark is also author of the CRS Elective “Going Green” course. He has served as a keynote speaker for private companies and state conventions, taught at the National Association of REALTORS Convention and Mid-year meetings and is a practicing REALTOR® with Wilkie Real Estate, Inc in Roanoke Rapids, NC. His new book, Finding My Why, Ernie’s Journey, co-written with Don Greeson was recently released.

Mark has twice served as President of the Roanoke Valley Lake Gaston Board of REALTORS® and was selected as their REALTOR® of the year in 2006. He served three years as a Dean for the NC Real Estate Education Foundation (NCREEF) and was in the 2004 class of LeadershipNCAR. Mark recently completed a three year term as a member of the NCAR Finance Committee and currently serves on the NAR Professional Development Committee and on the Board of Directors for NC CRS.

In January 2010, Mark contributed to REBAC’s newest course “GenerationBuy” and introduced the course at the NAR mid-year meetings in Washington D. C. as well as the Real Estate Educator’s Association (REEA) conference in San Antonio in June. Mark also presented the course for REBAC at the 2010 NAR Convention in New Orleans.

Before his real estate career, Mark spent 20 years as CEO of a multi-state retail sales and rental company and was a frequent trainer at regional and national conventions on sales and marketing techniques and providing exceptional customer service. He and his wife Janice, have 5 children. Their 4 sons are all Eagle Scouts and daughter Kerri is the apple of Mark’s eye!

*Successful completion of this course fulfills 16 credits towards CRS Education for the 32 or 48 credits required.
