Presenting on "The Uses of Hypnosis in Psychotherapy"
David Godot earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in clinical hypnosis from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. He has taught a number of basic and advanced workshops in clinical hypnosis at professional societies, and is the current Introductory Hypnosis Workshop Co-Chair for the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. He is an adjunct psychology professor at Mount St. Mary's College, as well as a peer reviewer and technical advisor for the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis.
Course Abstract:
This presentation will provide a brief examination of the nature and history of clinical hypnosis. Methods for incorporating hypnosis into psychotherapy will be discussed, and evidence for the use of hypnosis for psychological conditions will be reviewed.
