 James Anzalone, President

Compliance Assurance LLC

James Anzalone is the president of Compliance Assurance LLC, a firm specializing in global trade compliance solutions. Mr. Anzalone has consulted firms of all sizes throughout the United States on the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) and Customs & Border Protection (CBP) regulations. Mr. Anzalone holds a Master's Degree in International Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a B.S. Degree in Business Logistics from the Pennsylvania State University. In 2010 he was appointed to the Florida District Export Council and is an active member of the Society for International Affairs and the International Compliance Professionals Association.

Sacha Kathuria, General Counsel 

International Group Marketing

Sacha Kathuria is General Counsel to International Group Marketing and an adjunct professor at the McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government at Saint Vincent College. She also conducts oil and gas title examination for the law firm of Sean Cassidy and Associates. Sacha holds a law degree from Duquesne University, a Master in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, a Graduate Certificate of Advanced West European Studies from the European Union Center of Excellence at the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and History from The George Washington University. Sacha is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Court of International Trade. She speaks German, French, and Urdu.

Susanne Cook, Director & Chair, International Business Group

Cohen & Grigsby, P. C. 

Susanne Cook chairs Cohen and Grigsby's International Business Group.  She is a business attorney focusing her practice on counseling companies on international and domestic business transactions, joint ventures, customs, and export and licensing matters. She is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America for international trade and finance and in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers. Susanne received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1977 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law in 1988.

Suzanne's areas of concentration include: Mergers & Acquisitions, Domestic and International Joint Ventures and Direct Foreign Investments, Sales Representation, Distribution and Technology Licensing Agreements; Domestic and International Terms and Conditions of Sale; Customs and Export Compliance Issues; Country Focus, Brazil Chile and Mexico.

 

Steven Murray, Senior International Trade Specialist

U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service

Steven Murray is a Senior International Trade Specialist with the Pittsburgh office of the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service. Steven has worked in the Pittsburgh office for 13 years. In his role as a Senior International Trade Specialist, Steven works to help U.S. companies develop international markets for their products and services by providing counseling on market selection, market entry strategies, identifying potential partners, as well as other topics related to international market development.

Currently, Steven covers the Construction & Building Products, Defense & Security, Education, and Information & Technology sectors for the Pittsburgh office of the U.S. Commercial Service.  Steven’s education includes a Masters of Public and International Affairs, with a concentration in International Political Economy, from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.

Maria Ammon, International Operations Manager

Kurt J. Lesker Company

Maria Ammon has been the International Operations Manager since 2000 of the Kurt J. Lesker Company, an ISO9001 manufacturer and distributor of vacuum science thin film deposition systems and components. Maria oversees the export compliance, international sales, and international logistics of their headquarters in the US, and supports their subsidiary locations in Canada, the UK, and China. She also serves as a member of the company's ITAR Committee.

Maria attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh for both her undergraduate and graduate studies, with areas of concentration in International Business and Marketing Research while minoring in Spanish.
