Here's some fun pledge ideas!
Where does the money go?
- $35 goes to Transportation Alternatives, which promotes alternatives to motor vehicles, like bicycling, walking and running. This fee gives every rider a TA membership and pays the entry fee. Registration opens May 1.
- We're asking $300 in additional pledges per rider ($335 total) for Seeds in the Middle, a 501c charity empowering children in food deserts to create healthy environments at school and in their communities. You can also sponsor kids to play ball.
$300: 4 kids get 6 weeks-soccer or basketball
$900: Sponsor one week at your Farmers Market
Sign petitions of support for our markets here!Attention: Schools! Riders! Students can ride, too! Pledge on a school team so they can get a chef night, when a premier chef comes to their school kitchen & prepares with students a sumptuous, nutritional dinner served to parents and the community. Or help them fund a student-run Hip2B Healthy Market at their school, where healthy snacks are only 50 cents!
Get a principal or a teacher and/or school friends to ride and place bets on how far he or she can go.
