3rd Annual Scenic Hudson River Cruise

Dear GHHN Member,

Join us for a scenic sunset cruise on the Hudson River on Friday, August 8th. The boat departs from West Point's South Dock at 6:00 PM (Boarding begins at 5:30 PM). The event is FREE!  This is our way of saying "Thank You" for all your support of GHHN.  Do you know of a fellow heritage devotee who is not a member of GHHN? Bring them along as your guest and introduce them to other like-minded history enthusiasts. The boat cruise is a private event for GHHN members (and their guests) and light hors d'oeuvers and Hudson Valley wines will be served. Boat seating is limited, so register now.

Trip details and directions                                                                                                   The boat leaves (rain or shine!) from the West Point South Dock at 6:00 PM sharp, but boarding will begin at  5:30 PM - please make sure to leave extra time to go through the security checkpoints at West Point.  Driving directions  to West Point

Directions to the South Dock from within West Point                                                        1.  Visitors must enter West Point via Thayer Gate/Main Gate located on Route 218 (West Point Highway)--drive past the West Point Museum, Visitor's Center, and McDonald's.                                                                                                                                                 2.  At the gate, you will need to show photo ID. (Everyone over 18 must have photo ID)
3.  Advise security guards you are there for a boat ride departing from South Dock.
4.  After passing through Thayer Gate Checkpoint, you will drive past Thayer Hotel.  Stop at second guard check point.  They will search your auto and check ID.
5.  Following inspection, drive over security gates.
6.  At first stop sign, turn right onto Williams Road.  You will go down a steep hill towards the river.
7.  At the bottom of the hill, turn right at stop sign and cross the train tracks. South Dock will be directly in front of you.
8.  Turn left and find parking in the designated areas along Ernst Road (parallel to the river).
9.  Come to the dock and board the Ferry Boat.  Cruise departs at 6:00 sharp!
