Auckland Post Budget Breakfast

Each year CPAG provides child-focused analyses and commentary of the year's budget. The aim is to provide an accessible and affordable avenue for the community to come together and hear about how the budget affects children and young people, especially our most vulnerable who live in poverty.

Keynote Speakers:

Dr Steve Poletti
Department of Economics, University of Auckland.  Steve is a long time CPAG contributor and will be providing a social economist's perspective on the budget.

Peter Jefferies
Chief Executive Officer,  Community of Refuge Trust (CORT), one of the largest and longest serving NGO social housing providers in Auckland.  Peter's talk will focus on what the budget and current housing policies mean for the future of social housing in New Zealand

Chair:

Janfrie Wakim CPAG Co-Convenor and founding member.

With comments from:

Associate Professor Susan St John CPAG Economics spokesperson.  Associate Professor of Economics & Co-director of The Retirement Policy and Research Centre,  Business School, The University of Auckland.

Diane Robertson Chief Executive Officer, Auckland City Mission.

This event is part of CPAG's Nationwide Budget Breakfast Series being held in five main centres - Whangarei, Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin and Christchurch.  Please click here for further information.
