Christchurch Post Budget Breakfast

Each year CPAG provides child-focused analyses and commentary of the year's budget. The aim is to provide an accessible and affordable avenue for the community to come together and hear about how the budget affects children and young people, especially our most vulnerable who live in poverty.

CPAG warmly thanks the Canterbury West Coast PHA for their wonderful support in running the Christchurch event.

Guest Speakers:

Professor Paul Dalziel
Deputy Director, Agribusiness and Economics Research Unit, Lincoln University. Paul has more than 25 years experience in researching themes on New Zealand economic and social policy.

Lynne Brice-Nicolson
Director at Karanga Mai Teen Parent College and Chairperson of the Association of Teen Parent Educators New Zealand (ATPENZ).

Dr Sue Bagshaw
Department of Paediatrics, Univerity of Otago, Christchurch. Sue is Director of the Collaborative for Research and Training in Youth Health and Development Trust and also works as a primary care doctor specialising in adolescent health.

Jo McLean
Board Chair of Piki Te Ora Health Centre.  Jo is also on the board of Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu, and has coordinated campaigns for Addington Action.  She is currently at the Engineer, Printer and Manufacturer's Union (EPMU).
