2014 NHPA Conference - June 5 & 6 

Please join us for the 2014 NH Planners Association Annual Conference "The Art of Placemaking" on the University of New Hampshire campus June 5 and 6. Conference registration is $160 for NHPA members. This year's conference will explore a diverse range of topics including complete streets, mill redevelopment, landscape architecture, the state's booming microbrewery industry, the challenges of permitting new development in historic districts, the rise of the citizen planner, and the association of walkable communities to social capital, among others. Participants will learn how the state's changing demographics are influencing its housing market and also pick up strategies to help avoid heartracing moments during public meetings. We hope you can join us.

Lodging: Conference attendees have two options for lodging in Durham on Thursday night.

* University of New Hampshire, Mills Hall  Rate: $75 (single occupancy private rooms), Check-In: June 5, 3:30 p.m.—5:30 p.m. Call (603) 862-1900 for more information and to book.

* Holiday Inn Express, 2 Main Street, Durham, NH  Rate: $89 (for up to four guests per room). In order to access this rate, guests must book their rooms by May 15, by calling the hotel at (603) 868-1234 and indicating they are part of the NH Planners Association Conference. The hotel is located within walking distance of the UNH campus. Attendees are responsible for booking their own lodging arrangements.
