May 31st - 50 Miles to Harvest Dinner at the Citadel 

Enjoy a unique culinary experience at the historic Citadel in Brenham, Texas. Celebrated Chef Sonya Cote will prepare a multi course meal celebrating the 50 mile harvest. This meal will be served family style with some of the very farmers who grew the food. Complimentary house wine will be available with your meal and a cash bar prior to dinner for those looking for something special.

Chef Sonya Coté has long been a staple of the Austin food scene. For years, she has brought some of the most exciting dining experiences to the Capitol City. Her impression can be seen at top establishments all over town, including: Hillside Farmacy (chef/owner), Eden East (chef/owner), The Homegrown Revival (co-founder) and East Side Showroom (opening chef, 2008-2011).  She is a member of the prestigious Les Dames d’Escoffier and has been featured in local and national television and print for her part in the burgeoning food revolution.
 

Event Organizer / Farmer BRAD STUFFLEBEAM "A pioneer of the local food movement in the Lone Star State" (Texas Agriculture Magazine) and 2012 recipient of the Houston Mayor's Award: Champion of Food Justice.  Brad has been an educator and organizer for many of the largest organic farming events in Texas. Brad and his wife Jenny own HOMEsweetFARM serving their local community and the Houston area through a unique Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program with a Farm Market in downtown Brenham. Featured in numerous articles and books, his enthusiasm and passion has inspired others in their quest for real food.

The Gates open at 6:30pm with dinner served at 8pm.

Out of town guests are encouraged to stay at one of the many local B&Bs available in the area (see a list here>>) and to visit the HOMEsweetFARM Market open every Sunday where visitors can enjoy local farmers and vendors taking home the seasonal flavors of the Brazos Valley.
