Join us to celebrate the Sister Village relationship between Skaneateles, New York, and Duk Payuel, South Sudan, by participating in or sponsoring a walker for the first ever John Dau Foundation Walk For South Sudan!
In South Sudan, walking is a part of life. Whether it is a family walking to get water, or a mother walking to the Clinic to receive care for a child, for most people walking is the primary mode of transportation. To honor this way of life, and to show support for South Sudan and the Duk Lost Boys Clinic in its time of need, the John Dau Foundation will be hosting a walk through Skaneateles on June 22nd at Noon, starting at Austin Pavilion at 1 East Austin St.
The walking route is 2.4 KM total, so a $5 per KM sponsor would be $12 total donation, where as a $10 per KM sponsor would be a $24 total donation. All donations are tax deductible, and by sponsoring a walker you will be helping those in need in South Sudan.
A Free catered lunch from the Dinosaur BBQ will be provided at Austin Pavilion after the walk. Proceeds raised from this event will go to help restore the recent damage to the Duk Lost Boys Clinic, which is a vital resource to over 80,000 people in South Sudan.
